Dolia is a company in Dolianova (a town north of Cagliari in Sardinia), that produces high-quality oil with markedly traditional traits.
TheFont started from the idea that an oil’s quality is recognised from the very first drop.
The idea of the logo is a consequence of this assumption and endeavors to express the concept of selectivity and uniqueness. This led to the conscious decision of using a “drop” as the main graphic element throughout the entire project. We wanted to characterise the packaging through an elegant, prestigious visual identity achieved by the judicious application of colour solely to the type of oil, thus making it stand out.
Through the simple use of only two levels of communication, it was possible to create immediate recognition — especially on shop shelves — compared to the labels of other oils, typically overcrowded with graphic elements and information.
